On July the 4th, 1776, one Horatio Hornblower was born in Kent.  If you see him, bid him many happy returns.  He will most likely grump about it all day and act ungrateful, but don't allow it to discourage you.  He does appreciate it, he simply does not know it.

[For most of the day, Archie will be running around trying to furnish a bedroom in the house for a new housemate. He'll end up in the library, Good Spirits, the grocery store, then finally the Battle Dome, mostly staring in bewilderment at the controls before deciding this is too scary and leaving. At some point, he'll also take a walk in the woods, rain or no rain, in shirtsleeves and waistcoat but no coat. After a while, he'll get back on the journals.]

[William has only just emerged from his room, still a bit sleepy and hung over. It's that damned ale; he's never had anything have such an effect on him. That was potent, awful beautiful magic brew.]

[He catches Archie's post on his journal and smiles, slightly, and when Archie returns from one of his many errands, greets him with a slow wave and some coffee.]

Oh praise God, coffee. [Archie sets down bags of groceries and pours himself a mug. He's hung over himself, but he's also pretty used to functioning anyway when he has to, by now. The location of this house is much more convenient for errands, although there was something nice about the walk to CH1 that he'll miss.]

[William is used to functioning come hell or high hangover himself, but he'll be damned if he does when he doesn't have to. So he got up precious late and made coffee the old fashioned way, because, cough, presumably House 35 has all the required fixings, cough cough.]

But for certain people, I would specifically advise the bakery.

[He waits until he hears the door open at some point and stands in the doorway of his bedroom until he sees Archie. A raised brow and the hint of a smile are sufficient to say the stern tone isn't to be taken wholly seriously.]

Jack wandered into Good Spirits much later on in the day. Since his return, he has been trying to get accustomed to the relative quiet and loneliness of the seashore and Cullen House. Today he decided that a supply run back to town was necessary. What was meant to be a short trip turned into a much longer one as the pirate nursed a glass of rum in the tavern in his customary spot at the bar.

Archie was coming in to get a bottle of the best brandy available when he spotted Jack and broke into a smile. "What have we here? Is it possible the great Captain Jack Sparrow walks among us again, so recently returned from adventures untold?"
