Alexis Rodgers has been sent home. At least I assume as much--no one has seen her and her flat is empty. It's good.  She was very homesick, and...

[A pause. There's nothing really to say after that. He doesn't sound greatly distressed, but there's definitely a certain melancholy.

He'll be at the library this afternoon, and Good Spirits tonight. Missing Dawn, mostly. He'll occasionally walk through the item shop, killing time looking for little gifts to pick up for her.  At some point, he'll go see Ingrid in the clinic.  In the evening, he'll pay a visit to Jack Sparrow's house on the beach.  He's there to see Horatio, of course.]

[Horatio Hornblower has tried to keep busy.

He now knows the number of steps long that the attic is and how many wide. He knows which boards groan with weight and which will carry him silently. Well, save for the sound of his boots against the wood.

He has also concocted about four different methods of escape. None of which he has tried yet. It's a matter of biding his time. Of waiting for the right chance to present itself.

Besides, first he'd like to try and reason with Archie. If that fails, then he'll worry about escape.

[Katie's annoyed. She came to claim her attic, and what does she find but a complete stranger taking up residence? Pacing. If he wears a hole in her floor, she shall be very put out.

Of course, maybe Jack doesn't know he's there. Horatio could be an uninvited guest. Which leads her imagination to all sorts of things as she sits on the roof and mills them over, from Horatio being a ninja assassin (probably not, too loud) or some kind of overgrown toy soldier that's come to life (hey, it can happen) to maybe even being a ghost, but. You know. Perhaps she shall just sit up here and wait until Jack makes an appearance outside in one form or another and do her civic cabin girl-y duty and warn him about the monster in his attic.

...or glare at him for letting someone have it, because if he's gone back on the promise she'll make his life hell without even lifting a finger.

Sounds like fun.

Well, she needs to speak to him, too. Katie will get his attention by lobbing a bit of broken seashell at his hair.]

[That is Archie coming down the beach, but when the seashell hits his hair, he doesn't seem to notice. After a second, he brushes where the shell hit, thinking belatedly that a bug might have flown into it. He's pretty deeply in thought.]

It's good then, that she got to go home. Homesickness isn't an uncommon thing. The levels and how it effects each person differs however. [ Not that Helios knew her personally. ]
