Doctor McCoy?
[It's Kennedy, and he sounds awful. It's been a couple of days since he's left his room or contacted anyone over the journals.]
Are you in the clinic at the moment? Fever and aches aren't as much to my liking as I'd first thought. If I die before I make it there, please make sure Captain Jack stays out of my things until I return.

Get some rest, alright? I'll be by later.

She doesn't go straight to his room, though. After all, drinking from the carton, while simple, probably isn't the best idea. So she'll go to the kitchen and pour him a glass, and then make her careful way back to his apartment.
She'll knock softly on the door...but she tests the handle right after. If it's unlocked, there's no need to make him get up]

Uh.. you here to see Kennedy?

[smiling, Jilly will shift the books as carefully as she can, glass of juice balancing precariously on top, as she glances past him towards the hallway.]
I told him I'd come by... but if he's sleeping, I can leave these with you.

[ which, in Bones talk, translates into 'sure, you can see him' as he eyes that drink and those books. and so no one can accuse McCoy of ignoring a lady, he offers: ]
Here, I can carry those books for you.

I'm Jilly, by the way.

[there's concern in her eyes as she looks him over, taking in his sorry state, but that smile stays in place as she holds up the glass]
I managed to keep the juice, though...so you're welcome to it, if you're up for it.
Have permission to god-mod a bit from Bones' mun
Sorry if I'm slow again. RL is being evil, but I'll keep popping in
Some poetry. Shakespeare's "The Tempest." And another play about a boy who can never grow up.
[They'd all made her think of him, from turns of phrase, to stormy seas and pirates.
Besides, stories of Neverland seemed awfully fitting, trapped in this place.]
Should keep you busy for a few hours.
[ooc: I can stop failing. Honest]
It happens!

[leaning forward in her chair, she'll peer at the pages as best she can from her angle] It's been awhile though.
I always loved the stories where they got to go to other worlds.

I'm pretty sure I never read about a world where they gave you wings. [well, outside of the obvious]
But I think I'd have liked that, too.

[He may be a pessimist by necessity, but part of him knows he wasn't born that way.]

[Amused, she pushes her tangled curls out of her eyes, returning that smile with a grin of her own] But maybe we'll end up with a really good story at the end of it.

Saying all their stories end eventually wasn't the same. One of mankind's most amazing skills was its ability to ignore that fact... only that had been taken away from Archie.
She tries to keep her tone light, though. He's not dying today (however he might feel). And that's worth being grateful for, regardless]
So we'll be responsible for getting a great many people drunk. I'm not sure if that's a legacy... or a curse.
