This is Mr. Kennedy. The Britannia, Luceti's new sloop of war under command of Captain Hornblower, is finished and for all purposes ready to sail. Unfortunately, as she cannot sail herself, Captain Hornblower is in need of a crew.

Not many are required simply to sail her. A half dozen at least, although we should prefer more. We do not expect exclusivity--in Luceti, there is no point. If you are already part of another crew, you are welcome to remain a part of that crew and sail with us as well. As the winter months are approaching, we are not likely to weigh anchor for some time, so there will be plenty of time to train recruits who have no sailing experience.

I mean the reputation you speak of. It isn't likely to happen when I've already been seen bleeding all over my own floor.

......Are you even close to being aware of how many times Kain has snuffed it? Seems like alternate Thursdays are his favorite time, really. Same goes for Giles, who manages to explode himself somehow like clockwork. And everyone respects them, don't they?! Well. Except me, possibly, but I don't so much matter around here when it comes to influential opinions. And that, I should add, does not bother me.

I don't know who Kain is, but...I wasn't aware Giles has died more than once. Here.

Not dying, just......horrible side-effects of heroism. I'm certain he's got Kain looking over his shoulder and worrying about his solid record.

In any case, I shouldn't worry too much about that, Kennedy. A little blood never shattered anyone's faith.

My BOOKS, I'll have you know, are very astute in the ways that they inform a man about the workings of his mind and soul and positive energies!

How a book can tell a man what he is thinking is beyond me.

Hmmm? What? It doesn't tell a man what he is thinking, Kennedy. It tells him WHY. And it makes helpful suggestions about changing one's thinking for more positive and lucrative benefits.

If a book doesn't know what I am thinking, how can it tell me why?

Because I'd have to sit here and tell you for hours, when you could quite happily sit down and read it yourself. It can't be encapsulated, that book. Needs to be explored, special places need to be envisioned, positivity needs to be actualized. You have to LIVE the book, lad.
