[He'd won her a stuffed penguin. She'd been hanging on his arm and squeezing it with a giant grin on her face. Everything felt, finally, like it was going to be okay. Like this trouble between them since sleeping together was just a little thing.

He turns away to grab a strawberry daiquiri for her, still holding her hand. When he turns back, she's gone.

He wanders Lucetiland for a while, looking for her, shaking, still holding the drink, but he knows what's happened. When someone dematerializes while you are touching them...

She was just there, grinning, cheeks rosy. The warmth of her hand hasn't quite faded yet.

He sits on a bench in the middle of the park, staring into space, and nothing in the world draws his attention until, mechanically, he draws out his journal. He's shaking too badly to write, so he has to voice it, and he sounds weak.]

Dawn Summers was sent home.

[Selphie doesn't even bother responding before she closes her journals and takes off at a dead run through Lucetiland until she finds the park. Eventually, she comes across Archie looking like the sadest state of miserable she's even seen anybody in. It breaks her heart to see the man like this as she sits down next to him and gives his hand a gentle squeeze.]

[He doesn't even notice her until she touches him, at which point he blinks rapidly and looks at her. It takes him a second to come back to the world enough to bring up her name again.]

Selphie.

[Now he has to pretend he's okay.]

[For an officer to not even react to somone sneaking up on him and touching his person, something is most definitely wrong. He looks far from okay as Selphie gives him a sympathetic look.]

[Selphie sighs. Evading. She knows it a mile away. She's quite skilled at it herself.]

It'd be a much better time if all of my friends were enjoying themselves as well.

[Selphie stares at Archie in surprise for a few moments. She tries to say something, anything to make it feel a little bit better but knows that it'll never be all right in Archie's case. Sadly, the right words just seem to be eluding Selphie as there's only one option left to her at the moment. Standing up, she moves behind Archie and wraps her arms around him and hugs him to let him know that he's not alone.

She can only imagine what Archie's feeling at the moment but knowing that she'd be in a similar state if Ceodore left her behind. The only thing she can do in this case is to play the silent support card.]

[She can probably feel him shake a little as he chokes back...something. Not tears, exactly, just a tremor in his chest, air that needs to be let out. One hand pats one of hers softly.]
