Thirty-Six Bells: [Written/Action]
[Written:]
In light of my new duties as first lieutenant of the LES Britannia, impending matrimony, and being bloody terrible at running a foodhouse, I shall soon retire as the owner of Cloud Nine. I'd like to continue to work a few shifts, of course, but the club will need new management. Which brave soul will shoulder the task?
-A. Kennedy
[Action only: He is enjoying the last night of the voyage, simply meditating upon the lovely roll of the ship beneath him. It's chilly out, and he can see his breath, but he doesn't mind, wrapped up tightly in his heavy wool greatcoat. Softly he sings a song swallowed by the night, evidenced mainly by the mist of it in the air around his lips.]
The maiden, oh, the maiden oh.
The sailor loves the maiden, oh!
So early in the morning,
The sailor loves the maiden, oh!
A maid that is young,
A maid that is fair,
A maid that is kind and pleasant, oh,
So early in the morning,
The sailor loves the maiden, oh!

She slows when she sees Archie, however, barely able to make out the puffed air that means he's speaking. If she can get close enough without him stopping, she'll actually listen to the song before she says anything.]

action:
A proper Navy, even with only one ship with one gun. It will be frustrating, sometimes futile... but it's something to do. Arm the ship, crew it, get that crew into fine sailing and fighting shape. Prepare to defend this place should any enemy arrive at their door by sea to fight.
And some of the skills he can teach can be applied to land battles as well. He doesn't have good experience with those, but he can lend what knowledge he has.
The captain, at present, is standing on the quarterdeck, looking out across the deck. His posture is almost causal for the moment. His arms are on the rail, and he leans forward. His eyes are on his lieutenant. He can't hear him from here, but he can guess that he's singing. Something Horatio wouldn't be able to really appreciate even if he could hear him.]
